And it starts...
Filled the tank yesterday with RO water, got it up to temperature and added all salt, left it to circulate now for a few days to let it settle and get my SG spot on..Got a good source of live rock, £6 a KG which is quite a pretty good deal for fiji from an established reef..Hopefully i will pick up the rock middle of this week, get it aquascaped and get the sand in, then off we go with the cycle. Going to be doing a fishless cycle using a raw prawn as the ammonia source..

As people may of seen from my thread on Aquaria Central, it is what it is...a good deal...next job is to scrub everything and get it all nice and clean, fit some new bulbs, find out what model of powerheads they are to see what flow i have in there..
I think i shall be going skimmerless on this tank, filterless..I shall use the live rock as the filtration and i may buy an old hob filter and convert it into a fuge with live rock rubble and some macro's....shall see on that one yet....

I shall kick start my blog with the 10g nano that was a steal from eBay....Brought it for £1...what more could i ask for...At the moment, i am proposing a watchman goby and pistol shrimp pairing. I would like to find a different watchman than the usual yellow or spotted so i think i shall have to scout around and see what is available..Inverts shall be started off with 6 hermits and 5 snails and either a peppermint or a skunk cleaner...I would love to get hold of a Pederson cleaner shrimp, but they seem to be very rare here in the UK as i still not found a supplier for them...Coral wise, i am think along the lines of a carnation tree coral, ricordea and some red or orange zoa's....
